About the business

Tyden Power is a progressive company specialising in the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Substations and High Voltage equipment.

About the role

You will be required to carry out electrical work mostly across Sydney Metro and at times Newcastle and Greater NSW.

You will work with a highly motivated team on various networks.

Successful applicants must have experience with:

  • Testing and commissioning of protection relays including: feeder protection, transformer protection, and generator protection schemes
  • Performing maintenance of protection relays of all generations
  • Experience using Omicron testing equipment such as CMC356, CPC100 and CT Analyser
  • Perform functional testing of substations, switchgear and apparatus
  • Experience working in substation environments
  • Construction, commissioning and maintenance of substations, switchyards and HV equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control circuits
  • Ability to fault find control circuits
  • Willingness to complete detailed daily reports, WHS and QA documentation

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have qualifications and experience including:

  • Electrical Contractors licence or Supervisors licence
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • General Induction (white card)
  • NSW Drivers license
  • HV Switching certificate (desirable but not essential)

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated based on qualifications, experience.
