We're looking for a passionate and skilled Therapeutic Specialist to join our team at MacKillop Family Services
In this dynamic role, you'll be part of our Clinical Program, working closely with care teams, staff, carers, and external partners to develop and implement therapeutic strategies that promote healing, resilience, and connection. You'll lead trauma-informed assessments, create and review Individual Therapeutic Care Plans, and facilitate reflective practice and training sessions for staff. Your expertise will help guide therapeutic interventions and strengthen relationships between young people, their families, and communities.

This is an ongoing part-time opportunity based in the Wimmera Southwest region within our Residential Care Program. The position reports to Principal Practitioner.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline is essential.
• Experience in relevant child, adolescent and family clinical practice, family therapy and systemic thinking is strongly preferred for example, experience with children in out of home care programs.
• A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
• Thorough understanding of trauma informed care and practise

You must have a:
• Valid and current Driver's License;
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
• Valid Employee Working with Children Check.
• Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
