About the role. As a Building Assessor, you will be travelling from home to a range of sites across Tasmania, (majority being located in population dense areas) collecting information on the condition of various buildings with tablets, taking photographs, room measurements, 3D image scans, and collecting other data as directed.

Our client is an industry leading provider of asset data capture, asset management and building consultancy services, with a proven track record of excellence for over two decades.
Due to an influx of new projects, we are seeking technical professionals with sound knowledge of building fabrics/interior fit-out to conduct condition assessments of commercial facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct thorough condition assessments of various buildings, capturing data on defects and maintenance issues.
- Actively engage with the team to maintain accuracy and verify data capture quality.
- Provide thorough and accurate data capture, ensuring data is upload as directed to minimise risk of data loss.
- Taking room measurements and sketch basic floorplans.
Ideally you will have:
- Strong knowledge of building fabrics and fit-out (background in building maintenance, carpentry, or similar).
- Experience with building inspections or condition and defects assessments.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid Australian driver's license (Required).
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Required).
- Proficient with the use and basic troubleshooting of smartphones, laptops, tablets and cameras.
- Professional demeanour and the capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
