In this role, you will be visiting elderly clients in their homes to offer support to help them live safely in their homes, for as long as possible.
We will train you over the 12-month traineeship to deliver the following services and support the clients:
- Safely checks
- Domestic assistance (weekly/fortnightly cleaning and maintenance)
- Meal preparation/assistance
- Shopping support
- Transportation and support to and from appointments
- Personal care services (showering, dressing, grooming, etc)
- Social support
- Respite
We are expanding the team to deal with the increase in new clients and the growth of the industry.

You will be paid to attend work, be trained by our experienced and qualified team.
Be paid to attend and complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care).
You will be offered a minimum of 15 hours (guaranteed) per week, and can work up to 35 hours a week.
We will work with you on your availability, and the days and hours of shifts and offer consistency, where possible.
What we are seeking:
- Have a great attitude
- Be reliable and have clear communication skills.
- Has a want to work with the elderly in their home.
- Have a willingness to learn and work
- Ability to pass a National Police Check (be willing to obtain it if you don't have this)
- NDIS Workers Check (be willing to obtain if you don't have this)
- Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and insurance
- Have full Australian Working Rights and be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.
- Have regular availability
- Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks (see below), and pass a fitness/health assessment
- Desire to care for and help the elderly
Shifts:
Shifts are available Monday-Friday, between 7:00am-7:00pm. Let us know what you can work; flexible work hours are available, including school-friendly hours.
Shift durations vary, from 1 hour to 3 hours, and we work with you to build full days of work, seeing clients back-to-back.
You are paid your travel time and KM's between clients.
Services/Tasks:
Throughout your traineeship you will be trained on the following services:
- Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface clean of living areas)
- Bed making, room tidying up
- Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
- Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
- Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
- Respite and Social Support
- Ability to listen, build a report, and work with a range of clients and other staff
