About the role

Komstruct' is seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our team in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will involve constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures on a range of commercial construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to determine formwork requirements
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wooden formwork components to specification
  • Install formwork accurately and securely on site
  • Dismantle and reuse formwork materials where possible
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
  • Collaborate with the construction team to ensure efficient and timely project delivery
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site

What we're looking for

  • Formal carpentry qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Formwork Carpenter on commercial construction projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of formwork design, construction, and installation techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality outcomes
  • Ability to work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team
