About the role
Komstruct' is seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our team in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will involve constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures on a range of commercial construction projects.
What you'll be doing
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to determine formwork requirements
- Measure, cut, and assemble wooden formwork components to specification
- Install formwork accurately and securely on site
- Dismantle and reuse formwork materials where possible
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure efficient and timely project delivery
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site
What we're looking for
- Formal carpentry qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Formwork Carpenter on commercial construction projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of formwork design, construction, and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality outcomes
- Ability to work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team
