An appointee may progress to Clinical Psychologist Grade 2 upon successful completion of a Board approved supervised period of practice and gaining endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Position Profile:
As part of the multidisciplinary team this position performs a clinical, education and research psychology service with individuals, families, groups, other professionals, and organisational systems within a multidisciplinary and professional team context, under the professional supervision of an approved clinical psychologist.
Directorate Overview:
The South West Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) has transformed into a new reimagined, Community Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS) to provide local, consistent and integrated care across the region. The hub will coordinate services across a small number of local clinics ('spokes') that will deliver care close to home.
South West ICAMHS actively works to provide comprehensive, integrated and quality mental health services to the region. We strive to provide an excellent workplace for all of our staff to feel safe, supported, valued and satisfied in their roles. We are an integral member of the WA Country Health Service Team and also recognise the important role we play in creating mentally healthy communities in the South West.
Area Profile:
The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.
