Transformation Project Lead – AI

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Orro Group Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

This isn't your typical project management role, and we're not just another transformation team.
We're embedding AI and automation into the heart of Orro, driving enterprise-wide change that's bold, practical, and future-focused. We're looking for a Transformation Project Lead – AI & Automation to roll up your sleeves and deliver initiatives that transform how we work, how we serve our clients, and how we grow.

This is a role for someone who thrives on execution, designing, managing, and delivering AI and automation projects that make a tangible difference to our people, processes, and clients. If you're a doer who loves making change stick and seeing results, we'd love to hear from you.

About Orro

We're an Australian success story, now close to 500 people strong, delivering secure, end-to-end digital solutions across cloud, collaboration, cyber security, data services and network infrastructure, all backed by over 20 years of experience. Trusted by some of Australia's biggest brands, Orro leads the way in designing, building and operating digital infrastructure that delivers greater efficiency, agility, performance and resilience. Our solutions take the stress out of tech for more than 400 businesses and over 20 million Australians every single day.

Our mission? To create "future now" solutions making it faster, simpler and safer for people to access, store and share information, wherever they are and whoever they're with. But more than that, we know that real impact comes from connecting people, not just machines. That's why we take the time to understand our clients; how they work, what matters to them, and where they're headed so we can deliver not just what they need today, but what they'll need next.

With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth, and teams across New Zealand, the Philippines and the UK, Orro is known for delivering future-ready solutions, backed by deep expertise, genuine human insight and lasting partnerships.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be hands-on in delivering Orro's most ambitious change journey: embedding AI and automation into the way we operate, deliver, and grow. You'll own projects end-to-end, work closely with stakeholders, and make sure adoption happens on the ground. This isn't just about reporting progress, it's about driving it:

  • Deliver AI projects – design and implement initiatives that embed AI and automation into day-to-day processes, ensuring adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive adoption that sticks – support teams through training, communication, and hands-on guidance to embed new ways of working.
  • Work with leaders – collaborate with managers and senior stakeholders to align on priorities and provide clear updates on progress, risks, and benefits.
  • Track results – monitor adoption, measure outcomes, and ensure projects connect to commercial impact.
  • Keep projects moving – establish fit-for-purpose governance, manage risks, and adapt quickly to keep delivery on track.
  • Collaborate widely – partner with business unit teams to drive efficiencies and accelerate adoption across the organisation.

What You'll Bring

  • 10 years of proven experience delivering transformation or automation projects, ideally in complex organisations.
  • Hands-on project management skills with the ability to plan, track, and execute initiatives from start to finish.
  • Strong stakeholder management — comfortable engaging senior leaders but equally effective working with teams on the ground.
  • Practical change management experience — you know how to help people adopt new processes and technologies.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to produce concise project updates and dashboards.
  • Analytical mindset — able to assess impact, manage risks, and link outcomes to business results.
  • A proactive, delivery-driven style — someone who gets things done and can bring people along the journey.

Qualifications That Will Help You Succeed

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Agile program delivery certification (SAFe, Scrum, or equivalent).
  • Organisational Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci) – highly valued.
  • Program Management credentials such as PMP or Prince2.
  • Finance or executive education qualifications are a plus.

Even if you don't tick every box, don't let that hold you back. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd genuinely love to hear from you

Why Orro?

At Orro, we're proud to support our people and the people who matter most to them in meaningful and inclusive ways. From public holiday swaps that embrace family and cultural diversity, to generous parental and caregiver leave, flexible work options, and company-wide mentoring, we're here to help you thrive at every stage of life.

On top of that, you'll enjoy 3 days of paid volunteer leave each year, novated leasing, employee discounts, and full access to our wellbeing platform packed with expert fitness plans, nutrition tips, and tools to help you feel your best, inside and out.
