Sonder is the lead agency of headspace Adelaide, headspace Edinburgh North, headspace Marion and headspace Onkaparinga.

About the Role:
Join headspace Onkaparinga as an Aboriginal Youth Peer Practitioner and use your lived experience to make a positive impact on young people's lives. In this rewarding role, you'll provide culturally safe peer support, share your recovery journey to inspire hope, and help young people strengthen their social and emotional wellbeing. You'll also engage with the community through group programs, events, and education activities that promote help-seeking and connection. Enjoy ongoing support, cultural mentoring, and funded training to complete a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work as you grow your career.
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced social-emotional wellbeing difficulties and experience of recovery.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- You must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with a lived experience of social and emotional wellbeing concerns and recovery
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC).
- Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases.
- Certificate IV in Mental Health / Peer Work or equivalent or willingness to obtain
