You will see everything from routine vaccinations and desexings to more complex medical and surgical cases, so there is plenty to keep an experienced vet engaged and continually learning.

You will be joining a stable, supportive team who know their clients well and enjoy a good laugh on shift. There is always someone around to bounce ideas off, but you will also have the independence to manage your own cases and consults with confidence.

We are ideally looking for a part-time vet, however if you are seeking full-time hours, we are very happy to discuss how we can make that work. This role would suit a vet with around three or more years' experience who enjoys a mix of medicine and surgery and wants more autonomy without losing the backing of a great team.

Location
We are less than an hour from Brisbane CBD with easy access to public transport. Many of our team live locally and enjoy the convenience of avoiding the city commute while still being close to all the amenities of Brisbane and the surrounding area.

About You

  • You hold a veterinary degree registrable with the Queensland Veterinary Surgeons Board
  • You have at least three years' experience in small animal practice (or similar)
  • You are confident managing a mix of medical and surgical cases
  • You are comfortable building rapport with clients and guiding them through treatment plans
  • You value being part of a team but can work independently when needed

A day in the role

  • Running consults and building long-term client relationships
  • Performing routine and non-routine surgeries
  • Working up medical cases using evidence-based treatment
  • Providing follow-up care and clear communication with owners
