What You'll Experience

You'll lead with confidence in a hospital that values both skill and heart. As the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) 3 of Perioperative Services you will provide daily operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality perioperative services, including: Nursing both Anaesthetics and scrub Scout Scrub Scout, Day Stay Surgical Admit, Recovery and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) you'll guide a capable and passionate team through the fast pace and precision of the surgical environment.

This is a role for someone who truly understands the rhythm of the theatre - from scheduling and waitlist management to the flow of a safe, efficient surgical day. You'll work alongside experienced clinicians and supportive leaders who value collaboration, accountability, and genuine care.

As part of our senior leadership group, you'll also collaborate with other NUMs and managers to align services, develop staff, and drive innovation across the surgical division.

About You

You're a confident, collaborative nurse leader who thrives in the theatre environment. You combine deep perioperative knowledge with calm leadership, a strong sense of accountability, and a genuine commitment to team and patient wellbeing.

You'll also bring:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience leading within theatre or perioperative services
  • A passion for developing people and fostering continuous improvement
  • Post-graduate qualifications (or a willingness to undertake them)
