We're looking for an experienced Sushi Cook to join our team at a brand new Japanese takeaway shop in the Hobart CBD, Tasmania. This is a rare chance to be part of a growing business while enjoying a relaxed lifestyle, surrounded by nature, great food, and a supportive local community.

About the Role

• Prepare high-quality sushi and other Japanese dishes for takeaway
• Keep production efficient, clean, and consistent
• Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and minimising waste
• Day shifts only – no nights or Sundays
• Part -time or Casual role with the potential of full time in the future

About You

• Skilled in traditional sushi techniques (maki, nigiri, etc.)
• Clean, fast, and calm under pressure
• Reliable and good at working both independently and in a team
• Previous experience supervising or teaching staff is a bonus
• Knowledge of food safety standards
• Japanese language skills are an advantage
