*The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacists - Senior (Ambulatory and Operational Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Independently apply professional knowledge and skills to deliver high level clinical pharmacy services
Deliver high level clinical review services as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver operational and ambulatory care services
Apply sound professional judgement to complex caseloads, exercising independent decisions within the boundaries of legislation
Resolve complex issues utilising evidence-based medicine and highly developed clinical knowledge
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
AHPRA Registration
While not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy will be well regarded
Participation in on-call duties and work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, including regular rostered weekend shifts (minimum one shift per four weeks on average)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hrs negotiable)
Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum, $ $69.55 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across Gold Coast Health, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Tugun Satellite Health Centre, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Interim care facilities, as well as various community clinics and dental services.
