Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia Warakirri College Full time

Want to make a difference in a vulnerable young person's life?

Warakirri College is a highly regarded independent school offering Year 10 and HSC courses to young people who have disengaged from mainstream education pathways primarily due to struggles with anxiety or depression and social disadvantage.

We are committed to creating a culture of child safety and wellbeing. The College and its staff uphold the rights of children and young people to feel safe, respected, valued and heard. The College embeds child safety into its organisational governance, culture, and practices. This commitment aligns with the Child Safe Standards endorsed by the NSW Office of the Children's Guardian.

We create a flexible and inclusive learning environment with extremely low student-to-staff ratios, small class sizes, and ATAR and non-ATAR study pathways. Each campus has approximately 100 students, facilitating positive relationships between staff and students.

This is a new position due to our Distance Education program's rapid growth at our purpose-built campus in Watsford Rd, Campbelltown. This program runs mostly online, with live classes and 1:1 support via Zoom. We use the Canvas learning management system and Google Workspace for Education to create our online learning environment. The staff also coordinate some days onsite each term so that students can attend face-to-face lessons and receive individual support.

Benefits

We offer above-award salaries and outstanding employment conditions. Warakirri College is a Public Benevolent Institution, so staff make significant tax savings through various salary packaging options, meaning more money in your take-home pay and access to discounts on items such as dining out and holiday accommodation. Please ask us how this can benefit you.

Warakirri College is committed to providing staff with ongoing professional development opportunities to support staff with their accreditation and career progression.
