We are looking for a high performing, results driven Associate Director to join our dynamic team, taking a leadership role to guide governments and policymakers on developing and implementing clean energy agendas that are informed by technical expertise, deep industry knowledge and a clear view of how to navigate the clean energy transition. You will deliver outcomes across the renewable energy project cycle, with a particular emphasis on building clients' relationship with Stride and strengthening and mobilising organisational networks across government, industry and the renewable energy sector.

Stride's deep experience in renewable energy stretches across both national and international issues, in areas including policy, planning, network connections, finance, construction, engineering, stakeholder engagement, communications and development.

Selection Criteria

Essential

1.    At least five years' experience in a related role with a proven track record of delivering client-facing services to a guaranteed level of quality within allocated resources.

2.   Minimum 10+ years of experience in the energy industry, with specialisation in guiding and informing government clients to play their role the clean energy transition.

3.   Exceptional interpersonal skills with a specific focus on establishing business development relationships.

4.   Proven ability to set and implement strategic goals and fulfil long term plans for organisational development.

5.   High level achievement in project, financial, and contract management, including scoping, budgeting, and managing resources to successfully deliver projects within agreed timeframes and financial targets.

Desirable

6.   Experience working closely with governments across multiple jurisdictions and a strong understanding of government policy settings and influences at a state and national level.
