Compliance Manager- Licensed Trades

With a background in a licensed trade — such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building — you've developed a deep understanding of compliance, safety, and quality within complex operational environments.

You thrive on ensuring things are done right — every licence current, every standard met, every risk managed. You take pride in being the person others turn to for expert guidance and practical solutions. Your approach is calm, methodical, and collaborative, and you're able to influence others by earning their respect through knowledge and integrity.

You're equally comfortable in the field conducting audits as you are preparing reports or liaising with regulators and clients. You can interpret legislation, codes, and standards with confidence and explain them in plain language to ensure compliance is understood and achievable.

You value clear communication, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving. You naturally foster a culture of safety and compliance, and you're motivated by helping teams work smarter, safer, and more effectively.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• You are a trade-qualified professional (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Building) with:
• 10+ years' experience
  in a licensed trade discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of
  Acts, Regulations, Building Codes, and Australian Standards
  .
• Demonstrated experience in
  compliance management, auditing, or supervision
  .
• Proven ability to investigate incidents, manage risk, and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report writing skills.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to influence others in compliance best practice.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in at least one licensed trade (Electrician, Plumbing, HVAC or Building) with at least 10 years experience.
• Additional auditing, compliance or WHS qualifications - desirable
• Current C Class driver's license
• National Police Clearance

Additional information

This is a Brisbane-based role, Monday to Friday- full time hours. There will be regular site travel required.
