Richmond Primary School (PS) a high-performing and inclusive public school in the heart of East Fremantle, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Principal to join our dedicated leadership team. The Role
The Deputy Principal plays a pivotal role in shaping the school's identity and driving its strategic direction in collaboration with the Principal and leadership team. The successful applicant will ideally have a strong focus on student progress, wellbeing, engagement, and academic achievement, underpinned by a deep knowledge of effective teaching and learning environments. The successful applicant should display instructional leadership and expertise in the Western Australian Curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy, with the capacity to lead high-impact, evidence-based practices across all phases of learning. Experience in coaching and mentoring, especially in the early years, is highly regarded.
A key responsibility is educational leadership championing the school's values, ethos, and priorities, while fostering a collaborative culture among staff, volunteers, and the broader community. The successful applicant should be a skilled case manager, capable of leading collaborative decision-making, providing constructive feedback, and delivering classroom-focused solutions that enhance teaching and learning outcomes. You will ideally possess excellent interpersonal acumen and be an innovative and strategic thinker.
Operational leadership responsibilities include leading whole school process for Students at Educational Risk (SAER), Special Education Needs (SEN) planning and liaise with external agencies, managing performance development, supporting staff capability, aligning policies with the School Business Plan, and leading data-informed school improvement.
