Lead Zero Harm Advisor

The opportunity

Our Energy & Utilities team are seeking an experienced Lead Zero Harm Advisor to support Downer's key clients within the Mining industry across our West Coast operations. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in our Perth office location however frequent site travel is required to projects in regional WA.

As a Lead Zero Harm Advisor you will actively partner with Downers Industrial and Power Generation (IPG) business. The successful candidate will engage with the IPG site-based teams to coach Zero Harm behaviours, enabling the conditions for our teams to thrive whilst performing successfully without harm to the people, communities or environment in which we work.

This dynamic role will involve exposure to a mix of disciplines with a focus on bringing people together to ensure we achieve our Work Health, Safety and Environment objectives whilst contributing to the innovation of the business.

What you'll do

• Partner with the IPG West Manager Zero Harm to build a strong ZH culture on projects.
• Work collaboratively to build excellent stakeholder relationships, providing insightful, and trusted advice to a diverse range of supervisors and employees.
• Provide technical advice and support to Line Management in the identification, assessment, and control of workplace risks.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviours that inspire others, set expectations and role model Downer Values, holding self and others accountable to conduct business with the highest ethical standards.
• Assist in tender documentation and project start up.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years Zero Harm (safety) experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with client safety systems and integrating the company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel as per business requirements to regional WA locations frequently.
• Minimum of a Diploma in WHS.
• ICAM investigation skills and competency.
• Injury Management and Workers Compensation experience.
• Cert IV Trainer & Assessor certificate is desirable.
• Standard 26 Supervisor Qualifications are desirable.
