Role Description/Criteria

The Position
Loreto Toorak invites applications from experienced and enthusiastic Visual Arts teachers for a part-time (0.35 FTE) fixed-term position during Term 4, 2025. The position will involve teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays, and every alternate Friday.Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful candidate will be a passionate and skilled educator committed to inspiring students and fostering a strong appreciation for Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design. This role will involve teaching students across Years 7 to 9.
About You
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have:

• Current Teaching Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching)
• Proven expertise and knowledge in teaching visual arts and visual communication design
• A demonstrated understanding and appreciation of principles and practices of student learning strategies and styles
• A collaborative approach with colleagues in planning and delivering curriculum
• Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents
• Availability to work Mondays, Tuesdays and alternate Fridays during Term 4
