We are currently seeking a
Science Laboratory Assistant
to join our Noarlunga Downs Campus team. This is a dynamic and hands-on role supporting the Science faculty in delivering engaging and safe practical learning experiences for students in Years 7–12.

About The Role
As the Science Laboratory Assistant, you will:

• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical lessons.
• Support teachers and students during experiments, ensuring safety and effective use of resources.
• Assist with demonstrations, risk assessments, and safe operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of chemicals and equipment, and support stock control and purchasing.
• Collaborate closely with the Science Laboratory Officer and Curriculum Leader – Science.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in laboratory setup and maintenance, ideally in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of WHS practices and safe handling of chemicals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support staff and students.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new systems.

Essential Requirements

• Current Working With Children Check and Catholic Police Clearance.
• Valid Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificate.
• Approved Mandatory Notification training.
• Relevant First Aid certification.
