The Role
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Speech Pathologist to help build the foundation of a transdisciplinary practice for a small, growing clinical team - you will have a genuine voice in shaping the program as we grow.
Little Wings provides support to children aged 0 to 9 years (ECEI) and up to 12 years (NDIS) with communication, speech, language, voice, fluency and social-communication needs. We use evidence-based, family-centered and neuro-affirming practices.
As an ambitious practice looking to grow an inter and transdisciplinary offering, you will play a critical role in our success.
This role is a 0.4 FTE / 15.2 hours per week, with the flexibility to spread hours across the week. There is potential for an increase in hours in the future.
This is a community-based / mobile role working in South-East Melbourne (primarily Casey / Cardinia LGA).

The Day-to-Day
- Conduct formal and informal assessments, co-design individualised therapy plans with families / schools, and deliver evidence-based intervention across home, school and community.
- Educate and support parents, carers and teachers to embed strategies in daily routines, and collaborate effectively with internal and external professionals.
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and produce clear, timely reports and clinical notes that meet professional and organisational standards.
- Manage your schedule to optimise time, and contribute to service development and multidisciplinary collaboration.
The Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology (Bachelor or Masters).
- Full and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (CPSP).
- Minimum two [2] years managing a paediatric speech pathology caseload.
- Valid WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain), National Police Check and Driver License.
- Full Australian working rights (Citizen / PR)
- Experience working with children with autism, developmental delays and learning disabilities.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn about inclusion funding for kindergartens and schools.
- Comprehensive understanding and advocate of neuro-affirming practices and inclusion.
- Availability for after-school appointments.
