About the role

The School of Philosophy and Theology invites applications from scholars with demonstrated expertise in a fundamental aspect of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and engagement in a way that upholds and advances the mission of the university. This Lecturer level B position is based at the Sydney Campus and will report directly to the Head of School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a course coordinator.
  • Consult with students, mark assessments, and deliver unit and tutorial material.
  • Conduct research.
  • Attend department meetings.
Qualifications, skills & experience
  • Hold a PhD in Theology in the Catholic Tradition.
  • Hold a Doctor of Sacred Theology (STD) and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL). (Desirable).
  • Proficient in the teaching and coordination of core curriculum units in theology.
  • Ability to teach courses in Theology, including systematic and/or scripture at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Experience in tertiary education setting.
  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
  • Willingness to receive a Mandatum from the Catholic Archbishop of Sydney.
