Disability Support Worker in Berowra NSW.

Desirable:
  • Female support workers are strongly encouraged to apply to meet the client's requirements.

Required:
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW) (or willing to obtain).
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current full Australian driver's license and own car (not required but the role is open to driving staff as well).
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance (if driving).

Other requirements:
  • Fluent in English.
  • Skilled in Manual Handling, managing challenging behaviours, and delivering other high-care support.
  • Previous experience in Disability Support or Assistant in Nursing (AIN).
  • Available across all weekdays, including weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Willing to travel to Bondi Area, Malabar, Maroubra, Coogee, etc. Potentially Redfern and other near suburbs.

About the role: Your role is to provide exceptional service whilst supporting clients to meet their goals as set out in their NDIS plan. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Intensive, flexible, and responsive client-focused support to assist clients in successfully improving their physical and mental health.
  • Has an initiative to plan client's activities and other social outings.
  • Develop connections with the community, and achieve their goals.
  • Assist in their needs of daily living, domestic assistance, social support, transport, community outings, and so on.
  • Willing to do both Support Work and Assistant in Nursing.
  • Willing to be on-call and travel to different areas.

This is a casual employment position offering an attractive hourly rate depending on experience and availability. A permanent role may be offered in future for the right candidate.
