Roof Plumbers

RIP Contracting is a locally owned and operated company with over 25 years building experience and service the residential, rural and commercial sectors. With an increase in workload we are currently seeking experienced and motivated Roof Plumbers

Reporting to the Construction Manager, working Monday to Friday with occasional and optional weekends, away work and over time involved, we are looking for motivated, reliable, punctual, and professional future employees.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review illustrations and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required
• Review illustrations and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements and ensure correct construction.
• Select and install roof sheeting and wall cladding
• Construct and install roof drainage components and external flashings
• Install roof components, composite roof systems roof coverings to curved roof structures
• Repair isolation to roofs, corrugated roof sheeting to trusses and composite sheet roofing to outdoor living areas
• Install and secure metal wall cladding on steel framework for sheds
• Cut wall and roof sheets neatly and accurately for the fitment of components such as windows, roof vents and doors.
• Fit roof vents, windows, sliding and hinged doors in sheds
• Repair or replace damaged steel or sheetmetal products and components
• Measure and draw custom flashing designs when standard flashings are unable to be used.
• Safely use portable scaffold and or EWP's when working above 2m.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of harnesses
• Other tasks as directed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Roof Plumber
• Extensive knowledge of power and hand tools
• Capable of climbing ladders and manual handling
• Excellent communication skills
• Competent with completing basic to intermediate math equations
• Strong attention to detail
• Organised and able to meet deadlines
• Certificate III in relevant trade
• General Construction Induction Course (White/Blue Card)
• Working at Heights (preferable)
• EWP (preferable)
