Are you ready to be part of a world-renowned organization with nearly 120 years of innovation, growth, and industry leadership? Do you have a passion enabling organisations to continue maintaining high standards of compliance?
At BSI, we are looking for a Product Certification Auditor to play a key role in maintaining product excellence. In this role, you'll conduct 3rd party product certification audits across varied environments, ensuring compliance with BSI's rigorous Benchmark schemes.
We're seeking professionals to deliver product assessment audits across several manufacturing areas that include Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Construction/Building Products and Plumbing Products.
Previous auditing experience is a plus, as well as expertise in quality management systems (ISO 9001).
- This is a hybrid role that will include delivery of audits both remotely and in-person on client sites. Candidates will need to be willing to travel by various modes of transport depending on locations.
Purpose of the position:
By combining your industry experience, product expertise, and auditing or quality management skills, you will play a key role in ensuring our clients maintain compliance with relevant product regulations through the delivery of independent third-party product assessments.
- Support clients through their assessment process with us to achieve certification to Benchmark, and various Product Testing specifications.
- Work with a wide range of clients from SME to Blue Chip organisation, across varied industry sectors.
- Responsible for taking clients through their audit process from opening meetings, product assessment, through to creating the report and presenting your findings.
- Conducting site audits both remotely and at client sites within a defined territory. Travel within Australia will be required.
- Support the recommendation for the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures and prescribed time frame.
Who are we looking for?
We're seeking a confident and knowledgeable professional with experience across a relative product manufacturing environment, ideally with a strong focus on quality management and compliance.
You'll ideally hold relevant qualifications in manufacturing, construction, or a built environment related subject matter and bring a solid understanding of how businesses operate, enabling accurate interpretation of management system standards.
The role demands an engaging communicator, able to convey complex information clearly and professionally, both in writing and through formal presentations to senior stakeholders. You'll have strong organisational skills and the ability to produce high-quality audit reports at pace, along with the emotional intelligence to adapt your approach across a range of client environments. A personable and consultative style will help you build effective relationships and deliver real value to clients.
Previous experience in product assessment or auditing is highly desirable.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 is essential, and a Lead Auditor qualification would be a distinct advantage.
A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for delivering excellence will be key to your success in this role.
