About the Role:
We're Hall Contracting, Australia's largest privately-owned dredging and marine contractor. With award-winning projects across Australia and beyond, we're known for our strong commitment to quality, safety, and people. We're now looking for a qualified Diesel Fitter to join our Sunshine Coast workshop team.

This is a permanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday), ideal for someone wanting stability, a coastal lifestyle, and the opportunity to do occasional FIFO work.

What You'll Get:

  • Be home every night. Monday to Friday, 6am – 4pm
  • FIFO opportunities: do some away work to projects across Australia and abroad
  • Work on a mix of marine and civil plant – no two days the same
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Performing preventative maintenance and repairs across a broad range of marine and civil plant
  • Diagnosing and responding to breakdowns efficiently with access to digital manuals and maintenance planners
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the overall reliability of fleet equipment
  • Supporting occasional field work or FIFO assignments

What We're Looking For:

  • Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter or Mechanical Fitter
  • Experience with heavy civil machinery (excavators, dozers, graders, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Komatsu, Cat, Volvo or Hitachi gear
  • Marine or hydraulic systems knowledge is an advantage but not essential
  • A proactive attitude and team-first mindset
