Alliance Geotechnical is an established and highly regarded Geotechnical and Environmental company with a proven track record in proving consultancy and testing services on large scale civil and infrastructure projects. Established in 2003, we have over 150 employees and have based our office and materials testing laboratory in Seven Hills, NSW and Bellambi, NSW. The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and driven
Environmental Scientist
with 0-2 years experience for our expanding and dynamic environmental team in our Bellambi, NSW office. Successful candidate will be involved in a range of exciting projects ranging from local council works to major transport infrastructure projects, with great flexibility for career advancement and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuous training and development of various fieldwork sampling techniques.
- Report preparation for routine jobs including material classifications, RAO/ RRO assessments, preliminary and detailed site investigations, and asbestos clearances/ monitoring.
- Asbestos air monitoring.
- Continuous training on published guidance.
- Effective communication with project managers. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
About You
- Degree level Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
- Valid Australian driver's license.
- Builds good working relationships with others and supports team members
- Experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation projects.
- Sound communication skills.
- Participates in a culture of best business practice whereby each employee takes ownership of their individual area of responsibility and thereby helps to enhance the company.
- Licensed Asbestos Assessor (LAA) accreditation is highly regarded but not essential.
