Refrigeration Technician

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers. This role plays a vital part in ensuring reliable and efficient refrigeration performance for our customers, with a focus on quality workmanship and safety.

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration units on heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Conduct regular maintenance, fault-finding, and system testing to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform installations of refrigeration units as required.
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the Workshop Foreman and Service team regarding job status.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers when necessary.

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Proven experience servicing and repairing transport refrigeration units.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

• This role includes a six-month probationary period.
• Training will be provided by the dealership and our franchise partners.
• Saturday morning work is required on a rotating roster.
• The successful candidate may be required to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
