The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Clinical Measurement Scientist (Cardiac) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Gain clinical independence through experience and mentoring
- Perform non-invasive cardiac exams (ECG, exercise tests, holter)
- Conduct exercise stress tests and tilt table tests under physician supervision
- Assist with exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiograms
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in science in a relevant discipline with a strong component of human anatomy and physiology focusing on cardiac from a recognised tertiary institution
- Registration to a professional board is highly desirable
- Participation in afterhours "Emergency Clinical on Call" services as required
- While not mandatory, Certification as a Cardiac Device Specialist with the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners would be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and temporary full time (one permanent position and one temporary position, up to 6 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum
- Base salary ranging from $ $58.59 per hour

The Clinical Measurement Unit (Cardiac) offers a wide range of cardiac diagnostic services including echocardiography, exercise stress echocardiography, dobutamine stress echocardiography, pacemaker/Internal Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) n and programming, cardiac electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterisation monitoring, exercise stress testing, electrocardiograms, tilt tables testing, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, holter and event monitoring.
