Kongsberg Defence Australia (KDAu) has a exciting opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join our growing team in Adelaide. This role will be based at our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Mawson Lakes, supporting critical defence projects.

This is a great opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or early-career professional to join our planning team. You'll assist with planning, coordinating, and driving production across cutting- edge defence projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day execution of KDAu production activities. 

About the Role

As the Planning Engineer, you will:

  • Support projects make / buy process to establish the contracted and local production scopes.
  • Establish key performance indicators and reports to monitor execution in production.
  • Maintain a production plan for the production workshop and coordinate day to day production activities in accordance with lead times.
  • Communicate  the production schedule and changes to the schedule.
  • Deliver production orders and provide performance reporting for work undertaken in ERP.

What You'll Bring

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing principles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Experience using scheduling tools.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
