Chef: Cafe

We are seeking a full time, talented and passionate chef to support our head chef and kitchen at a thriving cafe in Sanctuary Cove.

We run a breakfast and smaller lunch menu with operating hours of 6am - 2pm 7 days a week (From time to time we also provide catering and function services).

Experience in cafe and / or breakfast service is highly regarded and weekend availability is essential. Effective communication with staff and owners is  paramount.

There is also an opportunity for the right applicant to assist with their touch on the menu as we update seasonally while adhering to a theme of utilising Australian natives throughout our offering (Experience with Australian native ingredients isn't essential, but a passion for creating and serving delicious, interesting dishes is highly regarded).

We will offer a competitive salary package for the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Support the head chef and café kitchen team
• Ensure consistent food preparation and presentation across all menu items
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture within the kitchen
• Comply with all food safety and health regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a breakfast Chef in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
• Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes
• Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
