ABC Heavy Engineering is a locally owned and operated engineering company, heavily focused on Health, Safety, The Environment and Quality. We specialize in the manufacture, repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in the Mining, Civil ports and Agricultural sectors, both in the workshop located in Mackay and on-site across multiple Bowen Basin Mine Sites.

Searching for a self-motivated and mechanically minded person to fill an ongoing rostered position to the right person.

What we are looking for

· Trade qualified Mechanic (desirable) or experienced serviceman

· Previous experience in a mechanical/servicing role

· Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical experience required

· Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

· A proactive and hands-on approach to work

· Ability to work autonomously and in a team

· Safety first mindset

Duties Include

· Servicing, maintenance of pumps, generators

· Refueling around site

· General yardwork

To be successful in these roles, candidate must hold or be prepared to obtain:

· Valid Drivers Licence (HR desirable)

· Current Coal Board Medical

· Coal Board Medical must be obtained before starting

· Current S11

· S11 certification must be obtained before starting
