Welcome to West Gippsland Endoscopy Centre. Located at the West Gippsland Health Services site at the Hospital, we are a Private Facility that has been caring for the Gut health of the Gippsland Community for nearly 30 years, established by Dr Mort Fitzgerald, a Gippsland local. We have a team of 10 Gastroenterologists offering consultations and endoscopy procedures including Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and Capsule Endoscopy (Pill Cams).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Ward Clerk to join our practice on a Permanent/Part-time basis. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, this position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage a variety of tasks. This role is focused on providing high level Medical/Ward clerk duties and providing a quality customer experience. This is also a job share position and you may be required to cover leave.

DUTIES

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Reception and general administration duties.

• Welcoming and greeting patients for their Procedures. 

• Processing payments, managing medical records, and booking follow-up appointments as required.

• Working with administration staff to ensure smooth running of unit. 

• Data inputting and scanning of documents.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be well organised and have great administration skills with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills together with the following:

• Working well as part of a team and contributing to a positive workplace culture. 

• Willingness to learn and adapt to the role and demands of a progressing business. 

• Previous experience using medical/hospital software such as GENIE or SIMDAY (Fydo) will be highly regarded, but not essential.

• Previous medical/clinical experience and/or receptionist experience will be highly regarded.

• Police Check and Working with Childrens. (Working towards)
