ABOUT THE ROLE

The King's School is seeking a passionate Drama teacher to join our vibrant and energetic Drama Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the performing arts interests of our students

Please note: This is a temporary, part-time (0.5 FTE), 12-month maternity leave cover position as part of a job share arrangement at The King's School in North Parramatta.

To be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate how you meet the following:

  • Experience and expertise teaching all areas of Senior Drama (Stage 6) is essential.
  • Inspire excellence in teaching and learning by fostering intellectual inquiry and demonstrating innovative pedagogy
  • High standard of competency, proficiency and innovation as a classroom teacher
  • Demonstrated capacity to collaborate and effectively contribute to a wide range of performances and productions in a dramatic arts co-curricular setting. The ability to direct and produce high quality plays and productions is essential
  • Demonstrated understanding of current issues in boys' education with a capacity to successfully engage all boys in their learning of Drama
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with peers, students, parents and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to positively, dynamically and effectively collaborate within a high performing team
