Analyst, Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability

Location - This role is based in Parramatta and offers hybrid working arrangements in line with departmental policy, with approximately 50% of workdays expected to be onsite.

Employment type – Ongoing full-time role

Salary - $113,574.00 pa - $125,720.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The Analyst, Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives through the administration of key technology systems and the execution of data-driven research and analysis. This role contributes to informed decision-making, performance reporting, and effective project planning and delivery. The role will help drive an uplift in asset management data and system capabilities across DCJ.

What you'll do

This position plays a critical role in supporting strategic and operational goals through the effective management of systems and data, enabling informed decision-making and ensuring compliance with organisational objectives. It contributes to the successful execution of initiatives while fostering collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Administer and manage complex systems and data to maintain integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Collect and analyse financial and non-financial data to generate actionable insights.

    Support delivery of projects enhancing infrastructure, sustainability, climate resilience, and security.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders across DCJ and external partners.

    Assist with reporting to executive leadership and governance bodies.
  • Support team building activities to drive capability uplift and performance.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for leveraging data to drive positive outcomes.

This role requires a high engagement with stakeholders across DCJ, the Communities and Justice portfolio of agencies, to support the achievement of key strategic and operational objectives.

The ideal candidate for this role should strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to support strategic initiatives and deliver data-driven insights. This role requires experience in data analysis, asset management, and stakeholder engagement.

The essential requirements of this role include relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience and knowledge of data analysis or asset management.
