Job Description

  • Play a key role in implementing and managing health and safety systems, framework policies and programs

  • Permanent full-time position based in Mascot, Sydney

As the Manager WHS Programs and Oversight, you'll lead the integration of safety programs and strategic initiatives across QantasLink. Reporting to the Head of Safety – People and Ground Services, you'll manage the WHS system and drive continuous improvement in standards, processes, and compliance. Your leadership will be key to embedding Group Safety Programs, supporting business units, and influencing safety culture across diverse operational environments.

In this highly collaborative role, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders — including safety advisory, workers compensation, and occupational health teams — to ensure WHS strategies are aligned, effective, and future-focused. You'll also represent QantasLink in governance forums and project committees, ensuring safety outcomes are embedded into operations and systems.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 7 + years' experience in WHS or Injury Management roles, ideally within high-risk industries
  • Tertiary qualification in OH&S, Occupational Health, Allied Health or related disciplines
  • Prior experience managing and maintaining a safety management system
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WHS/ OHS and related legislation, Codes of Practice,

    Australian and International Standards
  • Ability to manage cross functional projects which involve multiple and diverse areas
  • Ability to work within a team and independently to resolve complex issues
  • Able to influence positive outcomes at all stakeholder levels and initiate workplace change
