Position - Fitter and Turner/Machinist - Town Based with available overtime

About the Company -

The Director has 44 years experience and knowledge.  Although this is a small team, we are dedicated to our work and meet customers needs and deadlines. Due to growth we require a motivated and experienced Fitter and Turner/Machinist to enhance our productivity and service our client base.

  • We are a small engineering company and have been in business for over 3 years.  This is an exciting opportunity for our new employees to grow with the business, with leadership possibilities in the future for the right person. The Director is hands on as well as manages the company.
  • We currently have 4 lathes, 2 borers and 1 milling machine, all manual, in addition we also have 1 CNC Milling Machine and 1 CNC Lathe.  Metal spraying, welding and line boring.
  • The work covered is fitting, machining, and line boring anything from mining components to farm machinery.
  • We will supply 5 uniforms and work boots annually.
  • 4 weeks annual leave
  • Wage will be negotiable based on experience and knowledge.  Incentives are considered post probation.

Requirements for employment -

  • Trade qualified Fitter & Turner/Machinist;
  • Proficient with the use of manual machines;
  • Experience on CNC machines;
  • Ability to weld;
  • Have a good work ethic;
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Highly motivated;
  • Committed to safety & quality policies and procedures.

Preferable -

  • Forklift Ticket;
  • Drivers licence.
