Myndshift Group have been engaged by our client partner, a leading mining & civil contractor committed to sustainable resource development and land rehabilitation. With a proven track record across Australia's mining regions, we are now seeking 2 x Diesel Fitters with heavy earthmoving civil & mining equipment experience to work at our client's rehabilitation project at Caval Ridge Mine in Central Queensland.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment. You'll perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools, and ensure all work is accurately documented. A strong focus on safety and compliance with industry standards is essential.
What We're Looking For:
- Relevant trade qualification (Mobile Plant Technology, Diesel Fitting, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience as a Diesel Fitter with strong knowledge of diesel engine mechanics
- Proven ability to service, maintain, and repair mobile civil and mining equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, etc.)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow job scopes and critical paths
- Safety-focused mindset with a commitment to best practice standards
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
- RII's EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space (Desirable)
