About the role
Platinum Plant and Haulage is seeking a talented Dispatch Co-Ordinator & Administration Officer to join our dynamic team in Cleveland, Queensland. This full-time role will see you playing a crucial part in the day-to-day operations of our growing Plant and Haulage company.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate and manage the dispatch of Machinery, Trucks and transport to job sites across the local region, Interstate & Intrastate.
- Provide administrative support to the operations team, including data entry, record- keeping, and reporting
- Communicate with customers, clients and staff to provide updates on job status and logistics.
- Assist with the scheduling and rostering of our fleet of drivers and operators
- Support the implementation of new processes and systems to improve operational efficiency
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
- Upload SWMS, Risk Assessment's and service history to client portals.
Book and schedule services for machinery, trucks and fleet vehicles.
Sourcing of subcontractors.
- Enter and manage contractor agreements.
- As an allocator you will be required to man the phones after hours and on weekends every 2nd week. You will have a laptop and mobile phone to take home with you on these days.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday in the office from 7am to 5pm.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a dispatch, coordination or administrative role, ideally within the Machinery, Transport or logistics industry.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Working knowledge of dispatch and fleet management software (desirable)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
- A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
