The Role:
As our Field Service Mechanic, you will be the face of our company on the front lines. You will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on a diverse range of equipment—from Access Equipment, Forklifts, Telehandlers and lighting towers to generators, pumps, and power tools—at customer sites and construction projects across the South East Queensland region and also supporting the depot with required services and repairs when required
What You'll Do:
* Travel to customer sites (from the Sunshine Coast to the Northern NSW) to perform high-quality mechanical repairs and maintenance.
* Diagnose faults efficiently using modern diagnostic tools and your extensive knowledge.
* Complete routine servicing and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on our hire fleet.
* Accurately document all work performed, parts used, and time taken via our job management system on your provided tablet.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, our workshop team, and the operations coordinator.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked service vehicle.
* Uphold the highest standards of safety, following all company and site-specific WHS procedures.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
* A relevant trade qualification (Mechanical Plant / Heavy Vehicle / Automotive).
* Proven experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
A current, *unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
* Strong diagnostic skills and a logical, practical approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent time management and the ability to work autonomously without constant supervision.
* Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
* A strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
* Construction White/Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
