SPARKLIT AUTOMOTIVE PTY LTD is a growing automotive service and repair business based in Hallam, Victoria. Known for our commitment to quality, precision, and reliability, we provide complete vehicle servicing and mechanical repair solutions for private cars and company fleets. Our workshop supports customers across Hallam, Dandenong, Noble Park, Pakenham, and surrounding suburbs. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a skilled Motor Mechanic to join our dedicated team.
About the role
We're seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills to perform a full range of mechanical servicing and repair tasks. This is a hands-on workshop position where you'll ensure vehicles are maintained, repaired, and roadworthy to manufacturer and safety standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles and parts
- Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling engines, transmissions, and steering mechanisms
- Performing scheduled servicing, lubrication, and tune-ups
- Testing, adjusting, and calibrating mechanical components
- Identifying and replacing worn or defective parts
- Conducting roadworthiness checks and preparing vehicles for inspection
- Maintaining accurate service records and following workshop safety procedures
- May involved responding to vehicle breakdown service calls
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- At least 1-2 years' experience in a commercial automotive workshop
- Demonstrated experience working on European, Asia and Intercontinental vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability
- Experience with modern diagnostic tools and fault detection systems
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold:
- A Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent overseas qualification)
