About this opportunity

Pact Recycling have opportunities for Extrusion Operators to join the Production team at our Wacol recycling plant. There are roles available on the day shift, afternoon shift and night shift, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime on weekends too.

The role is focused on operating and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce high-quality recycled plastic resin products, ensuring smooth production processes, and meeting quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Operate extrusion machines to produce high quality recycled plastic resin products according to specifications.
• Set up extrusion machines to produce different resin types in line with product specifications.
• Prepare raw material for extrusion, load and bag as required.
• Maintain and change dies, cutting blades and filters as required based on product specifications
• Monitor the machines operating conditions such as heat, pressure, vacuum, amps etc.
• Monitor the production process and perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of extrusion equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or discrepancies to the Shift Lead.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Minimum of 6 months experience operating and maintaining extrusion machinery.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Physically fit for manual duties, including moderate to heavy lifting.
• SAP experience an advantage

• Your qualifications

• Certificate III in Polymer Processing is an advantage.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
• Work Right Entitlement in Australia
