Who We Are Looking For
This role is a fantastic opportunity to join the talented and dynamic State Street Investment Management Intermediary Client Coverage Team.
In this role, your key mission would be to develop and implement strategies to drive sales of locally domiciled SPDR ETFs, unlisted managed funds and the State Street ETF model portfolios across our key client segments: Financial Intermediaries including and not limited to financial advisers, IFAs, brokers, private wealth managers, private banks, family offices and asset managers. In this context you will be partnering with our local marketing and strategy teams to maximise our efforts.

What You Will Be Responsible For
As Intermediary Relationship Manager VP II, you will
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales of locally domiciled ETFs, unlisted managed funds and the State Street ETF model portfolios across key client groups within the Financial Intermediaries segment,
- Build and maintain a book of business with key clients.
- Identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations and needs.
- Clearly communicate SPDR ETFs and fund investment ideas and research to clients and prospects.
- Execute sales campaigns and dynamically involve clients on major State Street Investment Management initiatives (seminars, events, surveys) while promoting excellent and positive teamwork and culture at all times.
- Collaborate with the Product Team to provide input into new product ideas/product enhancements.
- Partner closely with the marketing team to design, elaborate and execute sales strategies; and
- Remain abreast of industry and product trends (including competitive analysis) to ensure SSGA and SPDR is strongly positioned in the Australian market.

- Successful Sales track record (ideally with ETFs) and advanced client relationship management skills.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation including SAA and TAA
- Strong business instincts, good judgment and creative mind-set.
- Demonstrated ability to provide fresh insights and new ways of approaching issues based on past experiences, a global perspective, and well-articulated facts and reasoning.
- Confirmed dedication to risk, compliance, governance and regulation policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external clients; and
- Willingness to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks assigned.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Strong client-facing skills with investment experience in the asset management industry, (preferably ETFs) for part or all financial services career.
- Has operated at a mid-level in strategic sales, marketing and client relationship management for an extended period of time i.e years plus.
- Current RG146 qualifications.
- Understands the range of Intermediary market segments and brings knowledge and relationships across investment platforms and investments.
- Confirmed ability to develop and execute successfully on strategic sales plans through one on one and one to many activities.
- Confirmed client relationships and experience in developing strong relationships across client segments – ideally in Victoria region.
- Ability to manage key business metrics and targets (activity, asset gathering/ retention targets) plus track record to demonstrate sustained success.
- Degree qualified or equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline preferred; and
- Current RG146 qualifications.
