Coach (GFI) - ACT and Surrounds

Viva Leisure, the parent company of hiit republic and one of Australia's leading fitness providers, is seeking passionate and motivated Coaches to join our studios in ACT and the surrounds on a casual basis.

Founded in 2004, Viva Leisure operates a growing network of fitness clubs across the health and leisure industry. We are proud to be Australia's largest independent health club operator and the first fitness facility provider to be listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

As a Coach at hiit republic, you will report to the Studio Manager and be responsible for delivering group training sessions that are fun, inclusive, motivating, and results-driven. Our programs combine HIIT, strength, and conditioning principles to redefine the group fitness experience and help every member unleash their inner athlete.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to deliver high-energy performance classes and contribute to a supportive, community-focused environment. You will play a key role in creating exceptional member experiences while maintaining and increasing class participation through consistent service and coaching excellence.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about fitness, eager to grow, and confident in delivering our pre-programmed training blocks and signature hiit republic workouts. With programming taken care of, you will have the opportunity to focus on each member's journey, provide exceptional support, and help build on an already strong and engaged community.

We have multiple casual positions available offering a flexible work schedule, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and is ready to be part of a vibrant and growing fitness community.

The essential skills & qualifications we are looking for:

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Certificate III in Fitness (essential)
• Strong knowledge and passion for the fitness industry
• Understanding of fitness training methods, exercise principles, and relevant technologies
• Skilled in applying first aid procedures
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and promote safety procedures
• Experience in customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sector
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse members
• Compassionate, organised, and capable of guiding members in a safe and friendly environment
• Excellent multitasking abilities to manage member interactions and class delivery effectively
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility

• Deliver high-quality group fitness classes with professionalism, including setup, pack down, and safe use of equipment
• Role model Viva Leisure values and uphold high standards of behaviour and conduct
• Motivate and support members, ensuring correct technique and fostering strong member relationships to encourage retention and growth
• Collaborate effectively with studio staff and the broader Viva Leisure team
• Maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly
• Stay current with certifications and adhere to all relevant fitness industry standards and facility procedures
• Promote gym services and assist members with enquiries, escalating issues to the Studio Manager when necessary
