Lives Lived Well offer a variety of community and residential Alcohol and Other Drug programs throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia, helping thousands of people every year to navigate AOD related challenges and move forward in life.

A new Ipswich Residential AOD Treatment Facility is opening, which will deliver high-quality, specialist residential AOD treatment services for adults aged 18 years and over. The centre will provide a total of 46 beds, comprising 36 beds for residential rehabilitation and 10 beds for withdrawal management and care.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a part time Cleaner to join our team working 4 days per week (negotiable) between Monday and Friday. As a Cleaner you will provide the highest standard of cleaning services and hygiene across all common areas within the Ipswich facility. Your primary duties will include cleaning communal areas, ensuring bathrooms are kept up to standard (with residents responsible for daily upkeep), and thoroughly turning rooms and bathrooms when a resident leaves.

Additionally, you will handle all cleaning tasks on the withdrawal unit, including laundry (washing and drying), mopping, and vacuuming. You will also be responsible for the safe storage and labelling of chemicals, adhering to WHS guidelines.

Salary for this role is $ $41.00 per hour plus Superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer Salary Packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay, including a Meals and Entertainment Card and a huge range of discounted products via Perkbox.

You will bring experience in a similar setting—such as a residential facility or hotel—and bring a friendly, respectful, and supportive approach, along with a genuine interest in helping clients on their recovery journey. You'll also bring the following skills and attributes:

· Taking pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by carrying out regular cleaning duties across all areas of the facility

· Confidence to manage ordering, stock control, and maintenance to ensure all cleaning supplies are adequately stocked and maintained

· Excellent time management and prioritisation skills – you'll be able to manage your own workload and support clients in work functions and developing life skills

· Robust understanding of Health and Safety and Infection control principles

· Emotional maturity and a calm demeanour, especially in high-pressure or conflict situations

· Working within professional boundaries with a solid understanding of how to practice these with clients and colleagues

· Demonstrated ability to engage easily with a range of people and a positive approach to building rapport and developing relationships within your team

· Understanding for the need to maintain confidentiality of clients – both at work and after hours

Our successful candidate will be required to obtain a National Police Check and hold a current Australian Drivers Licence.
