About the role

Trentham Groundworks is seeking a qualified and experienced Gardener to join our team in Trentham, Victoria. This position will involve maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens and landscaping on our clients properties. If you have a passion for horticulture and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you'll be doing

  • Undertake regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and pruning
  • Implement seasonal planting and landscaping changes to keep gardens looking their best
  • Identify and treat plant diseases and pests using appropriate organic or chemical solutions
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools to a high standard
  • Provide recommendations to clients on garden design and plant selection
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist colleagues as needed

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualification in Horticulture or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in garden maintenance and landscaping techniques
  • Strong knowledge of Australian native and exotic plants, their care and growth requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and designs
  • Proficient in the safe operation of gardening equipment and tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good physical fitness to undertake manual gardening tasks
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Full drivers licence
