About the role
We are seeking an experienced Early Learning Centre Cook/Chef to join our team at Brady Bunch Childcare Centre in Delacombe. This is a full-time role Monday to Friday 7:00 - 3:00 with some flexibility, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and nurturing environment, providing high-quality meals to the children in our care.
What you'll be doing
- Plan, prepare and cook nutritious and appealing meals and snacks for the children
- Ensure all food preparation and service meets food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with the early learning team to incorporate healthy eating education
- Assist with menu planning and staying within dietary requirements and budgets
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working as a cook or chef in an early learning or childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to prepare meals that cater to various dietary requirements
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Passion for providing nutritious and enjoyable meals for children
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
