about THE ROLE

Tecala is seeking a Cybersecurity Principal Consultant to lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives for our cybersecurity services. This role is critical in supporting customer acquisition, revenue growth, and ensuring Tecala's cybersecurity solutions align with client risk profiles and evolving industry trends. The ideal candidate will combine cybersecurity expertise, sales enablement experience, and a strong commercial mindset to effectively position Tecala in the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE (but not limited to):

  • Define and support the GTM strategy, value proposition and positioning for cybersecurity service offerings.

  • Identify market opportunities and customer needs through research and industry insights.

  • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Technical teams to position Tecala's cybersecurity capabilities.

  • Lead customer engagement initiatives, including events, campaigns, and solution presentations.

  • Provide consultative and advisory cyber input into deals when engaged by Sales or Presales, supporting opportunities through to closure. Directly support the Presales Teams' in Developing account plans for growth within existing clients, optimising cybersecurity solution adoption.

  • Use a consultancy and advisory approach to retain and expand the client portfolio.

  • Monitor and respond to evolving industry threat landscapes and compliance changes.

  • Drive marketing and sales alignment through compelling messaging and targeted campaigns.

  • Analyse pipeline data and GTM performance, reporting on ROI and improvement areas.

  • Directly support MRR growth targets, ensuring a strong and sustainable pipeline.

  • Drive net new opportunities through the GTM Strategy, business development activities and personal networks.

  • Assist with and coordinate end-to-end sales processes for cybersecurity solutions.

  • Drive annual strategic reviews with customers and internal stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in GTM strategy, sales enablement, or cybersecurity solution roles within IT services.

  • Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Background in cybersecurity services with GTM or pre-sales experience and skilled at responding to formal RFP processes

  • Deep understanding of cyber risk, compliance standards, and modern threat vectors.

  • Ability to bridge technical and commercial conversations with clients.

  • Experience in demand generation activities such as calling, seminars, and events.

  • Skilled at scoping detailed projects and customer analysis to support business development efforts.

  • Strong technical knowledge across cybersecurity, IT Managed Services with an ability to architect and design full end-to-end customer solutions within the Cyber Security Space

  • Ability to maintain broad-spectrum technology knowledge across security products and services.

  • Ability to develop new clients, source new opportunities, and assist to close deals effectively.

  • At Least 3 years' experience in the field of cyber security engineering (Architect, Solution Engineer, Product Engineer etc.)

  • Proven ability to host, co-ordinate and create GTM Events such as cybersecurity webinars, roundtables and other such events.

  • Proficiency in providing quotations and proposals to customers promptly.

  • Skilled at owning and coordinating the end-to-end sales process for cybersecurity solutions.

  • Ability to lead customer engagement initiatives, fostering relationships through events and strategic reviews.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution, driving measurable success.

  • Experience in forecasting accuracy, CRM data integrity, and pipeline management.
