About the role

Groundswell Accounting is seeking an experienced and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Noosa Heads, Queensland. As a full-time Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our valued clients, ensuring their businesses run smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing general bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable
  • Preparing and processing payroll for clients
  • Generating and analysing financial reports to provide valuable insights to clients
  • Liaising with clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Providing administrative support to the accounting team as required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably within a small practice or client-facing environment
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero), and payroll processing
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping would be highly regarded
