As a well-established, reputable practice in Townsville, we're seeking a motivated Sterilisation Nurse to join our very busy practice and our dynamic support team.
Your Role
As a Sterilisation Nurse, you will play a crucial role in infection control and the smooth operation of our clinical spaces. You'll work closely with our dental assistants and clinicians, to ensure all instruments and equipment are meticulously cleaned, sterilised, and maintained in accordance with strict hygiene protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilisation of dental instruments
- Prepare and maintain sterilisation room equipment (autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.)
- Monitor sterilisation cycles and maintain accurate logs/documentation
- Support clinical staff with efficient instrument turnover and tray setups
- Maintain stock levels of sterilisation materials and PPE
- Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention protocols and WHS standards
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in dental sterilisation or healthcare settings
- Certificate III (advantageous) or working towards
- Excellent attention to detail and hygiene standards
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
