About the role
We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst who excels at understanding the details of quantitative models and explaining their insights with clarity. Based in Brisbane, you'll work within our Total Portfolio Analytics team, State Investments modelling complex data sets and applying analytical frameworks to facilitate sound decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team with data analysis to help guide investment decisions and portfolio strategies.
- Work closely with other teams to assist in performance reviews, investment research and risk reporting.
- Build and update dashboards and models to automate analysis and track performance.
- Contribute to collecting, checking and reporting data, while improving data quality and usability.
- Assist in developing and testing models that monitor investments and uncover new insights using quantitative methods.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data into a unified analytical framework and develop data governance standards.
About you
You will have a keen interest in multi-asset investing and a proactive mindset that drives continual learning and interest in applying technology to solve investment decisions. You will also likely have the following:
- A degree in Mathematical Sciences, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Computer Science, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL and Python.
- A curious mind and a creative eye for data.
- Proficiency in data visualisation is advantageous.
